Tibetan Minister Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi calls for unity among community members

Mundgod (Karnataka) [India], August 24 (ANI): Kalon (Minister) Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi of the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), has urged Tibetans in Mundgod to remain united and work collectively for the welfare of the community, according to information provided by the Central Tibetan Administration.

On the fifth day of his visit to Mundgod, Dranyi addressed a public gathering at the main community hall of Doeguling Tibetan Settlement, where he outlined the priorities of the 17th Kashag and highlighted programmes being undertaken by his department.

According to the CTA, the Kalon said the primary responsibility of the 17th Kashag (Cabinet) is to fulfil the aspirations of the Dalai Lama and ensure that Tibetans inside Tibet do not lose hope in the Tibetan community in exile. He also said the administration remains committed to responding firmly to those making derogatory remarks against the Tibetan spiritual leader.
