Tibetan parliament-in-exile calls for ‘negotiated settlement’ with Chinese govt

Kullu: The Tibetan parliament-in-Exile has called for a negotiated settlement of the Tibetan issue through dialogue with Chinese govt, while urging Beijing to address concerns over human rights, religion, culture and language in Tibet.

The call was made in a solidarity resolution adopted on Monday, the fifth day of the second session of the 18th Tibetan parliament-in-exile in Dharamshala.The resolution invoked the approach advocated by Dalai Lama that the Tibetan issue should be resolved through dialogue rather than confrontation. The resolution urged Chinese govt to enter into dialogue with Tibetans to find a negotiated settlement to the longstanding issue.
