#TibetRadioUpdate China censors even natural disasters in Tibet, says Sikyong
Sikyong Penpa Tsering, president of the Central Tibetan Administration, has criticised heavy Chinese restrictions and censorship surrounding natural disasters in Tibet, highlighting the 22 October earthquake that struck Nagchu City, Tibet. Speaking during the 66th anniversary celebrations of Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) School in Dharamsala, he said censorship in Tibet extends beyond human rights issues to natural disasters. He also announced that the CTA plans to hold a prayer service in remembrance of Tibetans who lost their lives in the earthquake.
