On August 26, a massive mudslide wiped out a series of hydropower projects built along Nepal’s river valleys. In the Rasuwa and Nuwakot areas, around 27 hydropower projects were buried or destroyed, including major facilities such as the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project and Trishuli 3A and 3B. The total damaged capacity was about 700 megawatts.
